Head Coaching positions are vetted through an interviewing process. A Head Coach must also complete the courses listed below, as well as a CPR/First aid certification and background screenings. Coaching fees are not covered by the Gators Association.

*Assistant coaching slots are filled per the Head Coach, based on needs and availability.

 

Required forms

 

All Coaches, business managers, trainers, & equipment managers must complete the Mid-America Pop Warner Certification & the USA Football Certification, along with a background screening prior to any participation in our organization. Crimes against children, sex crimes of any kind, felony drug convictions & or violent felonies will be automatic grounds for disqualification from any volunteer service.

Gator Coaching | Rules of the Road

 

Sideline Dress Code

 

It is the expectation that the Gator Coaching Staff looks professional on the field; Proper sideline dress code is mandatory. Proper attire includes coaches’ shirt/polo, a team hoodie, active shorts/pants, tan shorts/pants, or jeans. Coaches are encouraged to wear team colors (royal blue & orange). Hats and beanies may also be worn.

*No sandals or open-toed shoes are allowed on the sideline.

 

Coaching Code of Conduct

 

Your coaching contract is on a year-to-year basis. There will absolutely be no tolerance for violent outbursts in front of players, parents, officials, or board members. Should an issue arise, coaching staff should go through the proper chain of command by reporting it to your Blue Springs Pop Warner board ASAP. All issues with parents &/or other coaches are to be discussed out of other parents and players presence and resolved peacefully.
